Bagh-e-Ghoushkhane minaret is located in the old part of Isfahan. This historical minaret used to stand close to the city gate in the past. The minaret was also called Ali Minar due to its proximity to the Ali Ibn Sahl mausoleum. The name Bagh-e-Ghoushkhane is given to this minaret because historical Ghushkhaneh garden are located close to it. Now, this minaret stands in a corner of a courtyard which houses a mosque.
Bagh-e-Ghoushkhane minaret dates back to the 14th century and it is built with the interlocking bricks which provide not only beauty to this structure but also the strength. Lower and middle parts of the minarets lack decorative tiles but design of bricks make up for this. The upper section of the minaret was once gilded with blue tiles but now some of them are missing.
