Natural History Museum Sintra
The Natural History Museum of Sintra is located next to the National Palace and it is housed inside a 19th century building. After purchasing the ticket from the museum office, one is greeted by this large head of Triceratops. In the audio-visual room of the museum one can get information about the origin of life and how life developed over the million of years.
The contents inside the museum are neatly displayed and generally speaking there are two multiple rows of displays. Objects were arranged in rows and labelled in Portuguese and English languages. Ammonites, marine animals belong to the molluscs family were displayed inside the museum. They vary in shape and sizes but they all look nearly similar.
Bones and Eggs of Dinosaurs
A reconstructed skeleton of a stegoceras, this plant eating animal used to live in North America. Remains of the Barbosania were discovered in Brazil, this ornithocheirid pterosaur was a bird. Skulls were discovered in China and they belong to Percrocuta and Chilotherium. The Natural History Museum of Sintra has one of the best preserved eggs of Dinosaurs. One of the finest Dinosaur’s eggs were found in Mongolia.
