Sultan Amir Ahmad Mausoleum - Kashan


Mausoleum of Sultan Amir Ahmad is located in Kocha Sultan Amir Ahmad in Kashan. This small street where this site is located, is very close to the famous Alavi Street. The famous bath house of Kashan is named after this imamzadeh. 
Entrance of this mausoleum is quite majestic and it offers a real insight into the typical Persian architecture in Kashan. Inside this covered area lies the grave of this holy man and glass work is added to the ceiling directly above the mausoleum.

The area beside the mausoleum is a large structure and it has few extra rooms and halls added to it. Seating area next to grave is fitted with the typical Kashani carpet, which is one of the famous product of this city. There were few photos of the famous people who had passed away but majority of them were killed in the Iran-Iraq War. There were few graves located in the courtyard of the mausoleum and there was no marked path to walk.
